Acrylic glass “transparent” cutting with “GlossCut”

The unique features of transparent thermoplastic plastics for example acrylic glass or polycarbonate offer fascinating applications in furniture and interior design. Whilst high brilliancy and transparency characterise these plastics as design elements, the costly additional working steps can make using them uneconomic to use.

But now with the new Leitz GlossCut sizing sawblades, these materials can be cut without marks or tear outs and process these demanding materials to “finish quality”. The new tooth design of GlossCut sizing sawblades has visible and measurable advantages to the cut quality on table saws, crosscut saws, vertical panel sizing saws and double cut-off saws.

Eliminating or significantly reducing the previously needed additional working steps to achieve a high gloss finish saves processing time increasing efficiency and the economics: GlossCut sizing sawblades also have an increased performance time of up to 200 percent over conventional standard sizing sawblades.

GlossCut sizing sawblades improve the working conditions

The new vibration damping laser ornaments reduce noise levels – both free running and cutting – compared to conventional standard sizing sawblades by up to 4dB(A).

GlossCut sizing sawblades can be resharpened without loss of operating or economic benefits on all sawblade sharpening machines.
