For Leitz, the strong trade fair duo HOLZ-HANDWERK and FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2026 in Nuremberg was entirely dedicated to the company’s 150th anniversary. The world market leader’s exhibition presence reflected innovation, tradition, and close customer partnership—from craftsmanship to industrial production. Timber construction is at a decisive turning point. Against the backdrop of declining construction figures, increasing climate protection requirements, and limited raw material availability, the transformation toward faster, more customized, partly modular, and above all resource-efficient construction methods is gaining momentum. At the Leitz Symposium, experts from research, industry, and architecture discussed key future challenges along the entire value chain – from digital planning processes and industrial manufacturing to innovative construction and architectural concepts.

In its anniversary year, Leitz is sending a clear signal: with the FineCut, the global market leader is presenting not just a new circular saw blade, but a fundamental technological leap in panel cutting. What had been considered an indispensable standard for decades is now replaced by a solution that is structurally integrated directly into the main sawblade. On September 1, ten young professionals at Leitz took the first step into their careers. At the company sites in Oberkochen and Unterschneidheim, they began their training in various fields – including cutting machine operator, technical product designer, industrial clerk, and industrial mechanic. In October, the group will be joined by a student of mechanical engineering, who will start his dual studies with the precision tool manufacturer.
