Production reliability & optimized costs

Security around ordering, storage and evaluation

The right tool, in the right quantity and quality, at the right time,  in the right place – realistically speaking, this is a fairly large amount of work that is necessary to ensure the basic supply of production and keep it running. Unfortunately, this ties up precious resources in money, manpower and time, which could be used much more efficiently and meaningfully elsewhere.

On the basis of its many years of experience in this field, Leitz offers various service concepts that can be tailored precisely to the respective customer requirements. The rapid retrieval of tools, timely disposition and automated procurement significantly reduce tool requirements and procurement costs.

Tool Management “Logistics”

Efficiency, productivity and reliability

Logistics includes the IT-supported provision with Kanban systems or consignment stocks, where both the customer (via Internet) and Leitz have access to a common database. The accounting takes place via the stock inflow or the stock outflow after defined periods.

Tool Management “Life”

Efficiency, productivity and flexibility

With the “Life” service concept, tools no longer have to be purchased. Rather, this model includes the provision of tool life for resharpenable tools for flexible production. The invoicing is based on the proportionate tool and service costs. This means a direct connection between production quantity and the tool costs incurred. In addition, the tool can be provided with a unique serial number.

Tool Management “CompleteCare”

The all-round carefree package

CompleteCare stands for complete tool supply from a single source, ideal for companies with large batch sizes. The invoicing is based on agreed production figures. This all-round carefree package with precisely calculable, variably adjusted costs allows the customer to concentrate entirely on his core business. Leitz uses its expertise to make processes more productive and efficient. The fact is: with less than 1 % of the total costs, tools for procurement are C-parts. The lack of a tool, on the other hand, causes costs that are dramatically higher in most cases.

It must be clear that CompleteCare is not a short-term project, but a long-term partnership for mutual benefit.  Numerous customers worldwide have already had positive experience with CompleteCare and benefit from the partnership with Leitz.
