Hello, I am a norway maple ...

... and this year, I’m part of our trade fair booth to serve as a visible symbol for the ecological commitment of Leitz. My two companions and I come from the Stuttgart region and will be planted at our company site in Bielefeld after the fair. With this, we aim not only to enhance the exhibition but also to make a lasting contribution to climate protection.

  • Sycamore Maple as a Climate Protector:
A native, resilient, and long-lived deciduous tree that effectively binds CO₂ and adapts well to various locations.

  • CO₂ Absorption by Trees:
A single sycamore maple stores up to 24.62 kg of CO₂ per year – three trees together absorb around 74 kg annually.

  • Offsetting Transport Emissions:
The approximately 100 kg of CO₂ emissions caused by transporting the trees will be fully offset by the planted trees in about 1.35 years.

  • Long-Term Contribution to Sustainability:
Planting the trees in Bielefeld supports CO₂ absorption, biodiversity, and the microclimate, while also serving as a symbol of environmentally conscious action.
